Craft Challenge Blog #772

 Hi there friends!

This week's challenge on the CRAFT Challenge Blog has a theme of: Christmas. The sponsor is: Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and I using the design called: Last Tree in the Shop

I decided to use a Color Cube card to guide me with the color choices.

I brought the design into Silhouette Studio.  I sized it to fit onto an A2 sized card and a little smaller. I used the trace tool to trace the design. It had a very jagged result and would not simplify to my liking. Therefore, I used the Offset tool to make slight offset around the shape and that did the trick for a smooth outline. I cut the design on my Silhouette Cameo.

I colored it with pencils.

I chose pencil colors and background papers to fit The Color Cube card I am using:

 I added silver splatter.

I then added sequins for sparkle and a sentiment outside and inside. I am bad about finishing the insides of my cards as I make them. One goal for the new year is to stop making cards with blank insides! I think I met the color challenge.

Check out the supply list below for all that I used to make this card.

The stamp set is: https://www.scrapbook.com/store/sbc-ds24-10.html

Day 4: 31 Days of Halloween Cards with La La Shiba

 Hi friends!

Today I am sharing a Halloween card using a design by La La Shiba and I purchased this design via Silhouette Design Store. It is design #451062.

The cupcake color choices came from The Color Cube:

I cut the design out using my Silhouette Cameo but instead of all the little bits I could have cut, I used markers and glitter to add those details.

The background paper is from Sparkleberry Ink.

Halloween Card with Scrapbook.com and Color Cube

Hi friends! Time to return to the studio after a long holiday/birthday weekend! September is the month that I really get into Halloween and Autumn cards and decor. I am very exciting for it. This is my favorite time of year. I love harvest time. I love Halloween. I love Autumn. It really brings out my creativity and excitement for the seasons ahead. Don't be shocked at the amount of things I might make in the coming weeks. I will be doing even more behind the scenes as I prepare for the Christmas season. Yippee!!

For this card I used a Color Cube card for the color inspiration and the ghost set that was sent as a freebie.

The marigold and clay colors are representing in the background with Distress Oxides.

The Blood Orange is a paper added to the background.

The remaining colors of Ghost White and Ultra Violet are the ghosts and the sentments. The Ultraviolet is the shadow and I added adhesive foam between the ghosts and their shadows.

I think I pulled it off! The Color Cube really helps me think outside of my normal box and I love it for that.
