This week's CRAFT Challenge Blog's theme is: Christmas for Children

The design I am working with is: Snowman Soup

 

This is another simple one to make. I chose it because snowman soup is always a hit with the kids at Christmas time. 

I printed out the front and the back of the design that includes the snowman soup poem. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut each side the exact same size of circle. I made two. I colored them with colored pencils. 

These are perfect to attach to a mug or a gift bag filled with hot cocoa mix, marshamallows, and a candy cane.

Hello there! 

I am part of the design team for the CRAFT Challenge Blog and I am so excited to share my first project with them. You can participate too by entered your project that fits the criteria for the week's challenge, every week. The new challenges start on Thursday.

This week's theme: winter

I chose two designs by The Cutting Cafe and combined them into a shaker card.

The designs I used are the Snow Globe Shaped Card and the Fun with Frost the Snowman Printable Stamp Set.

Supplies used:

• White cardstock - I used 100lb for the card base and 80 lb for other elements

• **Silhouette Studio and SIlhouette Cameo - I cut all pieces except the sentiment with my machine. I did some editing to make the acetate window and frame.
• **Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
• **Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White was used for the white speckles on the background and frame
• Stryofoam balls came from Hobby Lobby at Christmas time. They carry various sizes that are great for shaker cards because they can be tiny and weigh pretty much nothing.
• **Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass  was used to color the background and frame.
• ** Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Gathered Twigs and **Walnut Stain were used to color the base of the snow globe
• ** Tim Holtz 3D embossing folder: Lumber helped to add wood grain texture to the snow globe base
• Recollections Embossing Powder in Opaque Bling (discontinued) but any sparkly silver or wintry choice would work
• **Memento Fade Resistant Dye Ink in Tuxedo Black is my ultimate favorite ink for stamping sentiments
• ** Pink and Main, Rectangle Stitched Die Set is currently my most-used die set. The sizes are perfect for cards and the smallest one is used here for the sentiment. 
• Sizzix 666319 Seasonal Vibes #2 stamp set was used for the sentiment
• **We R Memory Keepers – Mini Precision Stamp and Press is what I use for real small stamping
