Hi Friends!
The card I made today would be perfect for the host or hostess of a 4th of July party. I like to thank people for taking the time, money, and effort to provide family and friends with such enjoyment.
I made a rosette card recently and I knew when I did that I wanted to do a patriotic version so that card is the inspiration for this one. You can find that card here: Hello Sunshine Card
I used paper by Sparklberry Ink and a die from Tim Holtz for the rosette.
The banner and the sentiment are from the same set from Diamond Press. I made the little banner and attached it to the rosette. I used hot glue for this as it works best with the ridges of the rosette. It is just more stable and less frustrating.
I didn't want a white background so I used a die to cut out a light blue background. I used embossing powder in a red glitter for the sentiment.
You can see I made a boo-boo below "let's" and I decided to cover with this Darice stars (discontinued)
This is how that turned out:
I glued the rosette to the card and trimmed the baker's twine.
This card is best not mailed because of the thickness of the rosette.
