Garden Planner Project #2

 Hi there friends!

I made another "chapter" to my Garden Planner/Diary. 

 This is a section in my "Peppers" chapter. I did not to the index page for that though. The peppers section will have Bell Peppers, Hot Peppers, and then Mild Peppers. Just an easy way for me to plan. 

For this page, I didn't add an index tab as that will go on the "Peppers" page. I hand drew and used paint markers to make a pepper plant.

 I can't really draw that well but I think it's okay. I adhered assembled die cuts of various colors of bell peppers. 

Then for the next page it is a smaller tag shaped page. 

I used that strap of lighter green to slide the seed packet behind. 

The white envelope is a homemade envelope that I put last year's collected seeds in. I adhered a green colored pepper on it because the seed packet is for green bell peppers. I will make more of these for all the colors of bell peppers that I plant.I also grow white and purple. It's so fun to have so many colors in the garden and in the kitchen.

Garden Planner Project #1

 Hi there friends!

Today I am sharing the start of my garden planner. Just like my Birthday Card Catalog I am using Esther Glas's release with Spellbinders as my starting point. 

My first section in the planner is for broccoli. 

 Each index page, like the one shown, will be for a different garden fruit, flower, vegetable, or herb. On the back of the page is a pocket to hold that year's seed packet. 

 Behind the index page will be a page to write on for notes and or plans for that year.

To make this I cut the page with a die. I embossed it with an embossing folder then using a flat sponge dauber, I added ink to the embossed page.

 I used two shades of brown. 

I cut out various veggies that I actually grow. I assembled them and added some shaded to them. For this project, I am only using broccoli and the other veggies are set aside for later. 

 For the back I chose a die that can be the pocket to hold the seed packets. I used a thick adhesive foam to adhere the pocket. The thickness allows for space if there are seeds in the packet.

 

I adhered the die cut and shaded broccoli pieces on the front. I cut 5 so I decided to make a wreath. I used a splatter paint to add some more inky goodness to the page. A bright name plate to finish it off.
