Craft Roulette Contribution #2

 Hi friends!

I participated in this week's Craft Roulette Game Show for episode 250. You can watch it here: Episode 250

The parameters this week:

Project: Fun Fold Card

Colors: nostalgic

Element: blanket

Random: Buttons

The inside:

I was stumped as to what to use for blanket but I found this SVG in my library and the design on it gave me the idea to make a teepee. Instead of cutting the SVG and piecing them together, I just printed and had my Cameo cut them.

I cut the teepee directly down the center so that the gatefold card could mimic entering the teepee and finding the blanket. I added two buttons to the door flaps to meet that parameter. The colors remind of the 80s.

I'm pretty happy at what I pulled off!

My submission last week was highlighted on this week's show because it was my first submission.

I hope you decide to join in the fun!

Greeting Card made from Junk Journal kit

 Hi Friends!

I made this sparkly card using a digital kit by Fifi the Papercrafter. It is part of a collaboration that she is in with the Junk Journal Junkies. While I am on Fifi's design team and she specializes in mixed media and junk journals, I do not make junk journals. I also do not make scrapbooks. I do love the artistry and elements that go into them. I just know that shortly after I would make them, I would toss them. I just don't save all the things. I think this is why I love to make greeting cards. I'm not meant to keep them. For Fifi's design team, I take her digital kits and make greeting cards with them. Some of the time, I make them more in a junk journal style and sometimes it's just in whatever style comes out of me. I like to show others ways they can use the same digital designs in other ways. It also expands my style, skills, and creativity to do so.

The background and the butterfly are from Fifi's kit. I hand cut the butterfly so I could have it pop up on the card. I sewing the perimeter of the card in white. I added silver glitter paste to the background and edges of the butterfly's wings to make it sparkle. The sentiment is added with a vellum shadow.

Craft Roulette Contribution #1

 Hi friends!

Have you heard of Craft Roulette? It is a card making game show that airs every Friday night on You Tube. The host, Mary Gunn, and a guess spin a wheel to learn the parameters for a card and the audience can participate too. I've watched it for a long time but never actually participate....until now! These types of challenges are great to keep learning and creativity growing and I love them for that so much.

Check out the You Tube channel here: Craft Roulette on You Tube

Here is my very first submission. I hope I keep up with it.

I had never made a Zoyfold card before. It has the front cover folded back and an addition flap on the opposite side edge attached. I made that flap into a front door to meet another requirement.

I chose pink and gold as my elegant colors and the 3 circles are embellishments on the inside.

I hope you check it out and get inspired to participate.
