Christmas in July Day 9

 Hi there friends,

Here I am for Day 9. I did this sort of challenge back in October for Halloween and it was so fun. I wanted to do a holiday version but not in December and yes, still fun, but life in July is a lot different than life in October and I am learning that real fast. If that means late night posts, than that is just what it means. 

 Today's card is using a set by Diamond Press. If you know anything about them -- they sell primarily on HSN (Home Shopping Network) and their own website. They are know for budget sets which are great for newbies and seasoned crafters alike. Budge friendly but still great quality. The downfall is that once a set sells out it is very unlikely that it will return. Once in a while when demand is extremely high, they will re-order something but it's just rare. This set is gone but I have find some listings on resell sites that I listed in my supply list. I am not affiliated with those sellers. 

For this card, I just used two sheets of patterned paper as the background. Colored Santa with alcohol markers and added a stamped sentiment from the set.

Christmas in July Day 2

 Hi friends! Today is Day 2 in the 31 days of Christmas in July. I decided I am not going to stress designs. I am going to pre-plan what techniques or products I am going to use. I am just going to work with the things I already have and mix it up. The techniques will depend on the day and the time. Let's get real -- I have real life outside the studio too. 😀 

Here is Day 2: 

 Supply list is listed below. I am making an A2 card with an A2 card base and a 4 x 5.25 inches card panel to work on. 

Stamps and Dies are by Stamps of Life Christmas Add-on to the Flip-It Merry set. It is available on their site but I found some eBay and etsy listings and are listed below. 

Instruction:

1. Cut the layered Christmas tree out in a gold layer and green layer. Adhere them together. Also cut the solid tree out in any paper to be used as a mask.
   

   

   
   
   
   
2. Using the matching stamp, stamp a few trees in green. I used the mask made in step 1 to layer them. 
   
   
   
3. Stamp a sentiment in black. Use clear embossing ink and powder to add that embossed shine to the sentiment.
   
   
   
4. Use adhesive foam to adhere the colored tree to the panel. 
   
   
   
5. Adhere the card panel to a card base.

Day 30: 31 Days of Halloween Cards

 Hi there friends!

This card might be one of my favorites of the month and it was quite easy to make. 

 I just picked a 6x6 patterned paper from my collection, sorry I don't have any idea where I got it. 

I glued it to a card base and trimmed it.

I shaded the edges in black ink. 

I used a rectangle die big enough for my chosen sentiment and cut the shape out of the center of the front of the card base.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in the center of the piece that was cut out. I adhered it to the inside of the card so it lines up when card is closed.

I attached a die cut that I previous stamped, cut, and colored.

Days 26 and 27: 31 Days of Halloween Cards

 Hi there friends!

Today I combined yesterday's card and today's card. I had a super busy performance weekend and I decided to give myself some grace. I made 2 cards using one cut of a background die. It is a large die and I cut the die cut in half to make 2 cards. 

 These are so so simple and I purposely kept them simple. 

I cut the background die out. I cut it in half.

 I used the spider and the web piece that were popped out. I painted the spider with silver silk and it has a sparkle. It's hard to photograph it. 

 The sentiment strips are from a Tim Holtz sticker book. Easy peasy!! Of course, i could add some sequins or other paint and embellishments. I just didn't. I liked them simple.

Sunnies with Diamond Press

 Hi friends! Today I am sharing a card I made using Diamond Press's set called Sunnies! They have an older set using sunnies and this one is a nice companion to that one.

Included in the set is stamps, dies, vellum used for the "glass" of the glasses, a folder that goes with their brand of die cut machine, and instructions with card ideas. 

I made the background design with two stamps in the set in 3 shades of green.  

I love Diamond Press sets. They are perfect for beginner card makers and can be using for scrapbooking and other projects too. They sell on their own website and also on HSN.

Mother's Day Card with Diamond Press - Use What You Have #2

 Hi friends!

Today I am sharing a Mother's Day card using Spring Blooms kit by Diamond Press. Diamond Press primarily sells their products through HSN and their own website. They are starting to branch out over the pond. They are one of my favorite craft companies because I love their sets for cardmaking. They are budget priced and great for beginners.

I stamped the butterflies on the background. 

 

I stamped the sentiment on vellum and heat embossed it. 

 

The boots and flowers are stamped then colored with alcohol markers. 

 

All the stamps are in the same set! This set is discontinued so it might be hard to find but check out their other sets:
