Shark Week Christmas in July with Sparkleberry Ink

 Hi friends!

Last week was shark week (I know I'm running a little late on this, it happens) and it is still Christmas in July and I saw this paper by Sparkleberry Ink would be a perfect holiday card.

I chose a background paper and cut it down to 4x5.25" to fit on an A2 size card base. 

 I decided I wanted to cut the paper with an oval die. Of course, this can be done with your electric cutter such as a Silhouette Cameo instead. Oftentimes, dies add some detail that happens much quicker than that way. 

I knew i had the dies to make the presents that are very similar to the ones in the shark pattern. I cut them with white cardstock and choose alcohol markers in similar colors to the ones on the paper. 

I color the presents.

I assemble the pieces and glue all together. I added a sentiment that was in my leftover bucket. Fits perfectly!

 

 I add embellishments with gems and white gel pen and plan pen.

Christmas Postage Cards

 Hello friends!

Today I have this adorable holiday card using Waffle Flower's postage collage set. 

I adore their products and especially their line of postage collage stencils, dies, and stamps. They came out last year but just about every month they add new things. Other companies have similar sets and I'm not gonna lie, I'm addicted to those too. You'll see many postage related cards for a while from me. It kind of goes along with how much I really want people to send greetings in the mail. 

To make this card I started off by inking a sheets of stamps. I chose last year's holiday stencils since it is Christmas in July season.

You can see that the after I die cut the paper to be the a sheet of stamps I set it on a clear mat. This is a Waffle Flower grip mat. A grip mat is made from the same photopolymer material that clear stamps are made out of. Paper doesn't stick to it but the stencils totally do. 

It is really nice not to have to use tape or magnets all the time as I work through all the colors. 

I added some glitter glaze to get some dimension and sparkle. I finish all the coloring and cut the stamps apart. 

I cut a piece of silver glitter paper with a frame die and messed it up. It happens. I almost tossed it but decided to use it anyway and cover up my mistake with linen tape. 

I added some festive greenery and the stamps with various thicknesses of foam adhesive. The sentiment was in my leftover box.
