Hello friends
This week CRAFT Challenge Blog's theme is: Shaped Card
and the sponsor is Star Stampz <=== please check out their shop here.
The design I used is Balloons and Ice Cream to make a balloon shaped card.
I started with Silhouette Design Studio where I made a balloon shape on the work space. I brought in the file of the graphic and sized it to fit inside the balloon. I added the sentiment and used the curve tool to have it curve along the edge of the balloon. I used the print & cut feature to print it out and then cut on my Silhouette Cameo. I also cut an identical balloon shape to make the other half of the card.
I opted to use Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Pencils to add colors.
On the blank balloon, I used a scoring board and bone folder to add a crease. This is done so that when the card is opened it has a natural fold that isn't on the front of the card.
I stamped a sentiment next as it is easier before assembly. Then I apply glue above the crease.
I attached the front of the card and aligned the two pieces as perfectly as I could and let the glue dry.
That's it! Thanks friends!
